Farid Najmabadi (Systems Engineer / Project Manager)
Farid is a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer who has had extensive experience in aircraft production, design and improvement. As the Vice President of H. F. Dorna (www.hfdorna.com), the first producer of light aircraft in Iran, Farid was in charge of their Blue Bird Aircraft Production and its improvement in accordance with customer feedback. He managed all aspects of production from acquiring material and parts, approving workshop working plan and schedule, overseeing quality assurance and outside contracting, overall time schedules and meeting all obligations.
Before becoming the Vice President, Farid was the Chief Engineer and Head of Design at H. F. Dorna. In this capacity he was awarded the prestigious "Type Certificate" for Blue Bird Aircraft. This was achieved with designing, computations and analysis, making prototypes, structural, system and flight testing and thorough documentation of all steps.
Farid was also awarded the "Design Organization Approval" from Civil Aviation Organization for setting up organizational charts, outline job descriptions and work flow of every position in the H. F. Dorna.
Farid has also worked in various design departments at H. F. Dorna including: Structural Design, performing stress analysis by conventional methods as well as Finite Element (NISA), Composite Design, and Mechanical Design. He has experience in aircraft structures and systems including control system, hydraulics and landing gears.
As the Development Engineer / Project Manager at ISD, Farid is in charge of production and project design. His responsibilities include: Defining Customer's needs and constrains, project break down and management, testing and trouble shooting, ongoing project development, web site design and development, web based marketing and Search Engine Optimization.
Farid holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran and lives in Rockville, MD with his wife and children. |
